Question 1:
Before the invention of the printing press, books were copied by hand one at a time by illuminators, and the vellum was often embellished with beautiful calligraphy and intricate patterns and designs. Explain why the Church committed such expense and the involvement of such creative effort to produce these beautiful works. Discuss the purpose and use of these works, including information as to who would actually see them and read from them. In addition, consider how the reverence of saints and figures of early Christian history became a significant feature of Romanesque art in many forms. What role did reliquaries play in the production of art objects? What controversies arose in relation to venerated images or cult figures memorialized through art?
Add image to illustrate the work!
Question 2:
The height and distinctive stylistic features of Gothic cathedrals, particularly their expansive stained-glass windows and non-load-bearing walls, were achieved through specific design and construction methods. Identify and explain these breakthroughs in architectural engineering, as well as glassmaking techniques. Discuss how these elements of Gothic churches serve both functional and symbolic purposes. Apart from the construction of religious sites, what were other developments in Gothic architecture? What purposes did these serve? What building traditions were continued or refined?
Add image to illustrate the work!

Travel Journal to Points of Interest from the Early Middle Ages, Romanesque, and Gothic World
Travel was one of the social characteristics that helped shape the Early Middle Ages and the Romanesque period—either to the Middle East to fight in the Crusades or throughout Europe as part of extensive pilgrimages.
For this assignment, put yourself in the place of a person living during this time who traveled extensively throughout Europe by selecting six pieces of art or architecture that you found personally to be the most interesting and important examples that date from this period in history. You should have 2 examples from each of the time periods specific to the Middle Ages: two examples from the Early Middle ages, two that represent the Romanesque, and two that represent Gothic art.
Your objects need to date between 400 CE and 1300 CE—the time span that encompasses the Early Middle Ages, Romanesque, and Gothic periods.
You are going to create a travel journal and itinerary for other students who will travel with you to your points of interest. Create a Word document presentation of seven part named slides 1-7, including an introduction, your five destinations, and a conclusion. On each slide, include the image of the artwork or architecture, and the following information about the image:
• Its location
• Its name
• The period of time it was created
• Three interesting points about the artwork/building
• What people viewing the image could learn about the Early Middle Ages, the Romanesque period, or Gothic art and architecture.
• Why you selected this image
Note additional information will be ask to writer even after the order has been completed, if the instructor has a comment or a mistake to be fix or information added.
