Most influential and relevant chapter in the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People”Paper instructions:
Write two pages on what I (you) think is the most influential chapter and why/how it is relevant to me (you).

Must be fluent in English and able to write excellently. I will not go over the paper and have to rewrite it or correct excessive errors. Please use proper english, correct grammar, the same tense, etc. I have had many problems on here with people typing papers that barely qualify as the English language.

Literature review pertaining to research on how the internet (social media) has changed the way we form romantic relationships and the effectiveness of those relationships compared to traditional relationships.
Literature review pertaining to research on how the internet (social media) has changed the way we form romantic relationships and the effectiveness of those relationships compared to traditional relationships.
Purpose of lit. review:
• Provide background and context for readers
• Boost your ethos as an author by demonstrating that you’ve done your research
• Prepare you to enter the ongoing conversation about your area of inquiry
Your lit. review will consist of…:
• Summaries of other qualitative studies/secondary sources related to your area of inquiry
• Notes on limitations/emphases/focuses of the previous studies
Essential components of a good summary:
1) Introduce the source
a. In their article “Blah Blah Blah,” Johan and Keasler argue…
2) One sentence summary, often paired with the intro (see no. 1)
3) A few more sentences that get dig deeper into the source while sticking to the most
important material
4) [Transitions between summaries]
Summary: a significantly condensed presentation of another author’s work; gives readers a sense
of the main ideas in someone else’s work
Paraphrase: putting an idea or a sentence from a source into your own words; paraphrases
usually are roughly the same length of the material they rework
• ALWAYS cite material adapted from other sources, even if it is not directly quoted
• Copying/pasting and changing a word or two DOES NOT COUNT as a paraphrase
• Any time you rely on the exact words and phrases of an author, put that material in
quotation marks

Body of the Report
Write your report as follows:
– Concert reports must be AT LEAST 1,200 words in lengthand am most particular about this. In addition to reading your reports, I ALWAYS do a word count.
– Use normal 12-point font size and DOUBLE SPACE your report to enable instructor's reading/editing/comments.
– Focus the content of your report ONLY on the musical aspects of the performance.
– Reports must reflect the fact that you heard the entire concert and are writing about what you heard.
– Write about all the works that were performed and in your own words, so that your report clearly reflects your personal listening experience.  You can use the concert notes from the program but sparingly. Use music terminology whenever possible to describe what you heard – texture, tonality, rhythm, harmony, tempo, instrumentation, vocal parts, staging, etc.
– When attending the concert, DO NOT LEAVE before the performance is completed, which makes it impossible to report on the entire performance. Obviously not acceptable, and will not fulfill the concert requirement.
– Reports must be grammatically and technically correct. Use your SPELL CHECK and again confirm your word count  (use the tools in the lower left hand corner of MS Word) that your report is at least 1,200 words.
– Names of works should be underlined or italicized, and songs or individual movements put in quotes.
