ASSESSMENT APPLICATION PLAN FOR YOUR CURRENT/FUTURE CAREER

                 Based on information from this semester and the Assessment Interview, develop a plan for assessment utilization in your current or future career leadership position.  This is that essential application component that makes the course information relevant.
Set this up in research format:
1) Literature review with a minimum of five (5) research articles about utilization of/need for assessments focusing on your career field,
2) overview of a minimum of five (5) assessments you think would be most helpful in your career field (include your rationale for choosing these, the , validity/reliability/legal/ethic considerations/other topics from this semester/etc),  You would not use five personality assessments in your career field so you must use a diversity of assessment types for this project (think personality, conflict management, career development, etc.)
3) a specific concrete plan for using these five assessments (5W1H approach is helpful). Be specific about the why and how of your plan. Develop a specific and workable plan for using assessments you will be qualified to use after completing this course (Level B – not clinical assessments).; 
4) expected outcome of your assessment plan;
5) what you have learned from developing this assessment plan.    

**Note: Matrices are posted on the discussion board link.  CAUTION:  The matrices are posted on the discussion board — HOWEVER — if the validity/reliability etc. is not listed or the report is a self-report with a 2 or 3 page report, is a level A (no or minimal training required) or clinical training required, DO NOT include these assessments in your career plan or in your personal development plan!!! Points will be deducted if you do so.  The matrices posted on the discussion board may have received a low grade so review these carefully before including in your plan!!

You have been tasked with evaluating an International Oil Company (IOC) OR a National Oil Company (NOC) and should do so in the following way

Assignment Task:

As a consultant you specialise in giving focused, strategic analysis to organisations in the oil and gas sector. In your report you need to provide up to date and concise information so that your clients can use it in their day to day operations.

You have been tasked with evaluating an International Oil Company (IOC) OR a National Oil Company (NOC) and should do so in the following way:

1. Introduce your assignment and explain why you have chosen the particular IOC or NOC. (10 marks)
2. Conduct a SWOT analysis on your chosen IOC or NOC and rank each of the factors in order of importance; 1 = most important, 2 = second most important and so on.

This ranking should be done for each factor examined under each of SWOT’s headings – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Explain the reasoning for your rankings. (50 marks)

3. Analyse the limitations of SWOT. (10 marks)

4. Outline 3 key recommendations for your chosen IOC or NOC which have come out of your analysis? List these in rank order (1 = most important, 2 = second most important and so on). Explain your reasoning. (20 marks)

5. Briefly summarise your work (10 marks)
